Effiong Peter, popularly known as C Bar, was born in Nigeria’s beautiful southwestern city of Calabar on November 20, 1988. Following early childhood and primary Montessori schooling in Calabar and secondary education in Lagos, C Bar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Estate Management from Covenant University.
While in high school C Bar experimented with and excelled at composing rhymes. Later at University he began rapping (or emceeing) at various university functions, where he gained local popularity and acquired a substantial following.
C Bar’s notoriety skyrocketed in the wake of covering Nicki Minaj’s, “Moment for Life,” with a single entitled, “Who D Boss Is,” culminating with a record deal signing with SOG Records.
As an upstart, C Bar was heavily influenced by Ruggedman and M.I. and later inspired by Jesse Jags, Mode 9, O.D. and J. Cole. C Bar ultimately desires to someday collaborate with Drake.
A bonified lyricist and rapper, C Bar presents his latest offering, the hit single, “Bad Like That,” featuring Acetune and produced by Richimula.
